California Looks to Create State Extension of $600 Unemployment Benefits

This week is the last week of the coronavirus relief that provided an extra $600 on top of unemployment benefits to provide those that experienced layoffs during the pandemic.

Congress is still in discussions on extending it through next January but no decision has been made; meaning the extra relief may be going bye bye.

The State of California doesn't want to sit by and is proposing its own relief plan and maintaining that $600 payment to ease the toll COVID-19 has caused the state Yahoo reports.

I know a lot of people that say it is very helpful to maintain those weekly costs like food, bills and more.

Do you think this will go through IE? Have you or someone you know been able to get the added help?
