OGPD (On God Purpose Driven) is a dedicated up and coming artist that wants to show others how far hard work can take you! Growing up in the Bronx, New York, OGPD says he witnessed a lot of tragedy from drug addiction, gang banging and gun violence. However, maintaining a strong bond with his father always motivated him to see what the world has to offer.
“I always had a musical background, my dad was one of the biggest djs in uptown Bronx and mt Vernon he always had me in music since I was young.” He revealed, “I really gotta say my pops showing me music at a young age from him being homies with heavy D and him being around the locs and Diddy it made me see there’s more out there and I just wanna give back and be a symbol of hope to everybody.”
Now living in Atlanta, Georgia, the up-and-coming artist revealed the rising music scene motivated him to make the move from the Bronx so he could focus on his career. Coming from a Caribbean background, OGPD says his ability to combine different melodies with rapping has set him apart from other artists in the game right now.
This year, OGPD is coming in HOT! Already blowing up the music industry with his latest project “1050” which features 7 tracks including two fan favorites “Flooded” and “Dolce & Gabbana”, The independent artist confirmed he has something NEW on the way. OGPD revealed he is currently working on his debut album that will be dropping this summer!
