Chaparral Fire Near Murrieta Burns Over 1,400 Acres and is 13% Contained

The Chaparral Fire that started on Saturday southwest of Murrieta in the Cleveland National Forest has burned 1,427 acres and is at 13% contained as of 11:55AM Monday. A smoke advisory is in effect in the area until Monday afternoon.

Evacuation orders are still in place for for: North of Tenaja Truck Trl, South of Calle Cielo, East of Calle Collado, and West of Calle Be Bietol.
