Michael K. Williams, who was best known for his role as Omar Little on The Wire, has passed away. The actor was 54-years-old.
Williams' rep confirmed the news to the Hollywood Reporter, saying, “It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the passing of Emmy nominated actor Michael Kenneth Williams. They ask for your privacy while grieving this unsurmountable loss.”
Williams was discovered by Tupac when they were casting the movie "Bullet". According to Newsweek, Tupac saw a photo of Williams, with his unique scar, and told the crew to call him because he looked "thugged out enough to play my little brother."
