A preliminary 7.0 earthquake hit near the city of Acapulco in Mexico Tuesday night. The powerful earthquake was felt as far as Mexico City which is almost 200 miles away. So far, only one person has been reported dead from this earthquake. The person was killed by a falling post in the city of Coyuca de Benitez near Acapulco.
An more powerful 8.2 magnitude earthquake occurred on that same day four years ago off the coast o Mexico's southern state of Chiapas.
