Childish Gambino Says Grammy-Nominated Album Was Made Out of "Pettiness"

In 2016, Donald Glover, also known as, Childish Gambino dropped one of my all-time favorite albums Awaken, My Love. The album featured the hit "Redbone," and also my personal favorite "Me and Your Mama." The album was nominated for some Grammys as well, but lost out to Bruno Mars in both categories.

You would think with such acclaim the album received, you'd hear Glover talk about the creating the album with a since of endearment. Turns out that's not the case. He says the album was actually made out of spite. He'll be making a guest appearance on Lebron James' talk show The Talk. He talks about how it all came to be. Check out a clip below.
