25-year-old Morgan Leigh Martin of Riverside who was a substitute teacher in the Riverside and High Desert area for several years was arrested last Thursday by members of a child abuse task force for allegedly sexually assaulting an underage girl.
The victim, now an adult, came forward and claimed that she was sexually abused in 2019 and 2020. It is not known if the victim was a student of Martin's at the time of the abuse.
Martin was taken into the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside and bail was set to $120,000. Martin is currently awaiting charges for sex crimes against a minor.
