Lake Elsinore Mayor Natasha Johnson announced yesterday that Walker Canyon will be closed to all visitors including the trails on both public and private land and parking at Walker Canyon due to public safety and conservation concerns. Visitors who ignore the warning may face citations and have their vehicle towed.
Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco said there will be a zero tolerance policy for people who are trespassing and “It is a misdemeanor infraction. You’re subject to arrest and booking into jail.”
