According to officials, 31-year-old Kristel Candelario from Ohio left her 16-month old daughter at home alone so that she could go on vacation to Puerto Rico from June 8th to June 16th. When Candelario returned home she found her infant daughter unresponsive.
Neighbor Suleym Gonzalez said that Candelario "always wanted to go out and just left her with her grandma".
Candelario is being held on a $1 million bond.
