It might be a good time to stock up on Forever Stamps.
The cost of U.S. postage stamps will increase on July 9 — the third time the postage cost has risen in the past 12 months.
The price of the Forever Stamp will now rise from 63 to 66 cents.
"USPS has kicked off runaway 'stampflation' like the U.S. has never seen, and it's making the situation worse," says Kevin Yoder, a former Congressman and the leader of advocacy group Keep US Posted. "Each time stamp prices go up, mail volume goes down at an even faster pace than projected, and meanwhile, USPS faces more internal costs updating its system to implement each postage increase. "
