With new artist popping on to the scene every day, everyone is trying to make a name for themselves. Upcoming rap/R&B artist Krishi, out of Anaheim, California has a unique sound and style that separates him from other artists. Krishi’s melodic R&B style mixed with his new style rap melodies and lyrics brings a new wave of sound to west coast music. Influenced by J Cole and NAV, you can see where his melodic flow meets his clever vocals making a perfect mix of the two artists. Most known for his song “Dark Love” Krishi establishes a wavy flow that keeps the audience nodding their heads and captures their attention with his unique storytelling. Although open to working with others, this talented artist is dedicated to his vision and solely composes, produces, and engineers his own music.
Krish has been serious about creating his own music since he was 15 years old. Every artist must go on a journey to find their true sound, and Krishi’s came with inspiration from his family to be true to himself. “I used to create music for people when I first started, but my close cousins encouraged me to start recording for myself, so I worked on music for two years and released a song with over 100k streams.” After years of work on music, he has learned to produce and engineer, picking up new skills as he embarks on his musical journey. Krishi aims to have a moral and cultural impact with his new music, as well as inspire other future artists to express themselves. Not only is Krishi a talented artist, he also owns and operates a clothing brand “Lost apparel”. This hip streetwear brand has begun to make a name for itself, as many well know influencers support his merchandise.
Today he dropped his debut EP “Through the Fire and Flames” containing four exciting new songs with intricate rap, rhythm, and rhyme. This EP is Krishi’s most exciting release, as he worked with some of the dopest producers in the game such as Yung Pear, OuhBoy, & Vitals. On top of that, the project contains two features, one being BLVCK SVM who was recently featured on lyrical lemonade. This project is just the beginning for Krishi, as he is planning on dropping his debut album in January of 2022.
