You know I love me some Girls Scout Cookies. When it's cookie season, my family buys more than we really should, considering we don't have a girl scout in the family. Over the weekend my neighbor blew my mind when she told me that Samoas are not the same as Caramel deLites. WHAT? I had been told by the sweet little girl on my street that they were the same (why would she lie to me?)... They are not the same!
We did a full blown taste test with my neighbor's kids and mine and discovered there is definitely more cookie in the Caramel deLites. As for the Samoa, it has a lot more of a chocolate taste. Both are good. Just NOT THE SAME.
With more digging, we found that there are two separate cookie distributors who supply these cookies and yes, one makes the Samoas and the other makes the Caramel deLites. Also a side little note, on my side of town, Samoas are hard to come by.
