Veteran actor Danny Trejo, known for playing tough guys and often villains in movies like Heat and Machete, was able to play the hero role in real life on Wednesday.Entertainment Tonight says Trejo was in a Los Angeles neighborhood when a car ran a red light, and in the ensuing collision a car carrying a child was overturned. The 75-year-old actor reportedly crawled into the wreckage, and was able to pull the child free with the help of another bystander. Trejo told ABC7 that he tried to distract the child who was stuck in his car seat. "He was panicked, and I looked at him, 'we have to use our superpowers,' and he [the child] said 'superpowers.'" Trejo said he stayed with the boy until the grandmother was pulled to safety. "And the only thing that saved that little kid was his car seat, honest to God," Trejo said. Police said nobody was seriously injured in the collision. Trejo also told reporters, "Everything good that has happened to me has happened as a direct result of helping someone else. Everything."
