Tesla's Armored Glass Demo Goes Horribly (And Hilariously) Wrong

Elon Musk can't catch a break! This week, the Tesla CEO unveiled the brand's latest vehicle, which allegedly boasts bulletproof front and back windows. There's just one problem: During a live demo of the Tesla Cybertruck on Thursday, the truck's windows shattered after an assistant threw a metal ball at them. "Well, maybe that was a little too hard," Musk said after the first window broke, insisting they'd been thoroughly tested. “We threw wrenches, we threw everything," he said. "We even literally threw a kitchen sink at the glass, and it didn’t break. For a little weird reason it broke now, I don’t know why.” He added that they'd fix the issue "in post [production],” since the truck isn't ready to be sold yet. The Cybertruck is scheduled to hit the market in late 2021 with a bare-bones version retailing for $39,900.
