Update: TMZ is reporting that Juice Wrld may have popped pills on his private jet prior to his seizure. According to photos obtained by the site, police also seized 70 lbs of marijuana in suitcases on his plane.
According to law enforcement, several members of Juice's team aboard the flight -- which landed around 1 AM Sunday -- told them Juice had taken "several unknown pills" prior to which led to him getting rushed to a hospital.
Further, we're told one of Juice's associates told authorities the 21-year-old rapper has a Percocet problem. Our law enforcement sources also say a bottle of codeine cough syrup was found on the plane.
21-year-old hip hop star Juice WRLD died Sunday after he suffered a seizure at Chicago's Midway airport,Forbesreports. The rapper, whose real name is Jarad Anthony Higgins, was walking in the airport when he collapsed after getting off a plane, witnesses report. Higgins was still conscious when he was transported to the hospital, but was pronounced dead soon after he arrived; no official reason for the death has yet been released. Higgins, who just turned 21 last week, was seen by airport goers hanging out with friends and seemingly in good spirits before the seizure. Musicians Lil Nas X and Camila Cabello both reacted to the news on Twitter, with Nas writing, "RIP juice. so sad how often this is happening lately to young talented rising artists."
