A guy in Boston whose high-school sweetheart loves Sleeping Beauty proposed to her last month by editing the two of them into the animated movie. "For the past six months, I've been working with an illustrator to animate my girlfriend and myself into her favorite movie,Sleeping Beauty," Lee Loechler wrote this week on YouTube. "On December 30, I popped the question in a theater filled with our friends and family." He also shared a video of his proposal, which shows him and girlfriend Sthuthi David in a theater watching the movie's most iconic scene, when Princess Aurora is awoken by Prince Phillip with a kiss. In the proposal's version of the scene, though, Aurora and Phillip look like Loechler and David and an engagement ring appears--which the animated Phillip "tosses" to the real Loechler before he gets down on one knee. "It's not every day you get to propose to your high school sweetheart," Loechler then told David before turning to the onscreen Phillip and asking, "Excuse me, do you mind? This is kind of a big moment."The Mirror notes that Loechler even posted an online ad offering to pay strangers in beer and pizza if they'd sit in the theater, although the couple's friends and family also snuck into the venue to witness the adorable moment.
