Kendall Jenner’s pockets are $90-thousand dollars lighter, thanks to her involvement with the failed Frye Festival. She was ordered to pay the fee to settle a lawsuit brought by Gregory Messer in US Bankruptcy Court in New York in August 2019.
According to the paperwork, Jenner was paid $275-thousand dollars to endorse the festival. Not only did she not tell her followers that she was being paid, she made them think that the event “would be filled with famous models on an ‘exotic private island with first-class culinary experiences and a luxury atmosphere.’” She also allegedly claimed that Kanye West would be performing at the event.
Messer – a trustee overseeing the Frye Festival bankruptcy – has filed at least 14 lawsuits against the talent agencies that repped artists that were supposed to perform or appear at the event. The money he gets will go to the investors who put money into the failed venture.
