On Thursday, the promoter Goldenvoice announced that the next Coachella Festival will occur "as of now" on the weekends of April 9-11 and April 16-18 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, while its country-tinged Stagecoach Festival will take place on April 23-25 at the same venue. The announcement came a day after Riverside County announced that the two festivals wouldn't be permitted to take place in 2020. The Los Angeles Times reports that all 2020 passes will be honored at the 2021 editions of the festivals, which will feature new performance lineups. Rage Against the Machine, Frank Ocean and Travis Scott were set to headline Coachella 2020 before it was canceled.
