Reddit user “Bangorlol,” is claiming to have reverse-engineered the TikTok app and according to him, you should stay away from it. He says as you're making the latest TikTok video the app is secretly gathering LOADS of information from your device. Some of the intel TikTok is gathering includes phone hardware which consists of CPU type, screen dimensions, DPI, memory usage, and disk space. The popular Chinese social app also takes notes of other apps you’ve downloaded and all network-related information. GPS pinging is also happening once every 30 seconds, and as he describes it, there are “creepy old men” who have direct access to kids using the app.
