Senator Kamala Harris is the Vice President-Elect. She becomes the first woman, the first Black person, and the first South Asian person to hold the office.
After the election was called on Saturday, she tweeted, "This election is about so much more than @JoeBiden or me. It’s about the soul of America and our willingness to fight for it. We have a lot of work ahead of us. Let’s get started." VP-Elect Harris also sent a message directly to women saying, “I will not be the last” as she addressed the nation on Saturday evening.
She wore white during her message in honor of the 100th anniversary of the 19th amendment that gave women the right to vote.
