Not tryin' to knock that "what-looks-like" sourdough bread recipe you mastered during lockdown but we've found the kings of quarantine; a California family who built a Disney Matterhorn-inspired rollercoaster in the backyard!
Sean LaRochelle said “Growing up, Disneyland was something I loved. I've always wanted to create a rollercoaster." After asking his father "Hey, can I build a coaster in your backyard?" Sean, his partner and three children began building the Alpine Escape in March, wrapping up their replica project in August.
Their 20-foot tall, 400-foot long coaster has a lift to take a rider over a faux snow-covered mountain, complete with rock walls. Once inside the passenger rides past a waterfall, fountain, flames, lights and even a freakin' snow Yeti! The ride, complete with its own original soundtrack, lasts about 50-seconds.
By the way, this rollercoaster replica isn't really a project you can find on Pinterest. The LaRochelles come from a family of engineers and builders.
I wonder how many times the neighbors have come by to borrow some sugar?
