Your old MatchBox Cars and Barbie Dolls have an opportunity at a new life with a new program Mattel announced today!
Mattel announced Monday a "toy take-back program" designed to recover and reuse materials from old Mattel toys to make new ones. The company has a goal of using 100% recycled, recyclable or bio-based plastic materials in all of its products and packaging by 2030.
This is such a great idea! Personally, I'm always so conflicted about throwing away toys or now, with COVID, putting those toys out in a yard sale. This makes sense and feels good too. Beside, I heard Barbie and Ken aren't big fans of living in a Landfill, even if their Malibu Dream House is there too.
