Be careful out there, IE. As you may have heard there has been a rash of shootings on southland freeways with many of them taking place on the 91 freeway in the Corona area. Motorists have described their cars being damaged and windows being chipped or shot out completely by a BB Gun or Pellet Gun. Over the last few weeks there have been 80 reports of these type of incidents.
So what do you do if this happens to you?
Police are encouraging victims to immediately pull over to a safe place, call 911 and provide an accurate time, location and description of any suspect or vehicle. That information will assist investigators, according to the Press Enterprise. The sooner you can pull over and call the better so you can describe your surroundings to police.
CHP has stepped up patrols along the freeways in hopes to stop these individuals and this string of "unnerving" shootings.
