Kim Kardashian's undergarment line, SKIMS, is officially repping the U.S. at the Tokyo Olympics! The big news came out on Monday when Kim posted photos of Olympians already decked out in SKIMS-inspired products. From tank tops emblazoned with “TEAM USA” and sports bras with the American flag and Olympics logo to Cotton Rib Boxers, the collection looks just as comfortable and cozy as it does chic.
“When I received the call inviting Skims to be a part of @TeamUSA, every moment I’ve spent admiring the strength and energy of the Olympians from the sidelines came full circle,” Kardashian wrote in a tweet. She added that designing clothes for athletes was particularly meaningful since growing up, she “traveled w my stepdad [Caitlyn Jenner] and family to all different cities for the Olympic trials, the Olympics, and track meets,” which gave her an appreciation of “the dedication and honor being a part of the Olympics embodied.”
Caitlyn Jenner was quick to comment, "Wow! Full circle! Amazing! So so proud. Love you. Congratulations!!!" Sister Kourtney Kardashian dropped fire emojis in the comments section.
While this will mark the first time a brand’s been named as the team’s official underwear provider, our nation’s athletes will also be wearing Ralph Lauren uniforms, as they have since 2008.
Kim Kardashian also revealed that fans will be able to purchase the pieces as part of a special capsule collection on the Skims’ website. [TMZ]
