The Biden administration released new COVID vaccination and testing guidelines for large private businesses on Thursday. Company owners need to choose a vaccine mandate or a testing standard for staff.
The goal is to get employees of companies with 100 or more workers vaccinated by the new year. Employers are required to give staff paid time off to get a COVID shot if they don't already have one.
Starting on January 4th, 2022, unvaccinated workers will need to provide a negative COVID test on a weekly basis. If employers do not comply, there could be fines of up to $14,000 per employee.
