Arthur, the beloved PBS Kids series that is the longest-running animated children’s show ever, will come to an end next month after 25 years.

It will be a four-part finale showing “what’s in store for the future” of the characters as adults. In the new episodes, Arthur and his friends solve a mystery, see a silent movie, find out what it’s like to be a reporter, learn how to help a grieving friend, go on a family vacation, and get a hint of their futures from a mysterious fortune-telling game,” PBS revealed in a January 18th news release.

The four final episodes of the long-running series will air on PBS on February 21st, and the entire series will be available to stream on PBS Kids.

The finale will be preceded by a 24/7 marathon of the series and its specials starting on February 16th on PBS and streaming on PBS Kids. [Screen Crush]
