Your Fitbit might be dangerous. The company is recalling nearly one million of its Ionic smartwatches after reports of burn injuries.
The watches were sold between September 2017 through December 2021. Fitbit has received over 100 complaints about the battery overheating and nearly 80 incidents where the watch burned its owner, with several second and third-degree burns reported.
Users should stop using the watch and send it back to Fitbit. Contact the company for prepaid packaging. After that, Fitbit will issue a $299 refund plus a discount code for other products. [GMA]
