One of Dua Lipa's biggest songs is now part of a second lawsuit filed against her.
The news just hit that Dua Lipa is facing a copyright infringement lawsuit over her song "Levitating" after reggae band Artikal Sound System claimed she copied their 2017 song "Live Your Life."
Now she's facing a second copyright lawsuit. This time the lawsuit is claiming Dua lifted material from a pair of decades-old disco tracks.
In a new complaint filed Friday (March 4) in Manhattan federal court, songwriters L. Russell Brown and Sandy Linzer accused Lipa of copying their 1979 song “Wiggle and Giggle All Night” and 1980 song “Don Diablo.” They said the opening melody to “Levitating” was a “duplicate” of the melody to their songs.
As of Sunday, a rep for Dua Lipa did not immediately return Billboard‘s request for comment. [Billboard]
