New research from the University of Saskatchewan suggests that playing video games could improve reading skills.
They tested gamers based on what games they played and how many ‘peripherally-located’ objects had to be identified by the players, then tested them on both real and made-up words. The scientists say players of some games “tended to have faster reading reaction times” than others.
