McDonald's is giving up a chance to stock up on an illusive dipping sauce.
The Szechuan sauce (tangy sauce that has notes of soy, garlic, ginger, and mild vinegar) is back for three days online. You'll be able to pick it up starting on March 31st.
Szechuan sauce originally debuted as part of a movie tie-in with 1998's Mulan. In 2018, the Adult Swim cartoon Rick and Morty referenced the sauce, and interest piqued. McDonald's brought the sauce back for one day. Expired packets are currently available on eBay for $950.
This time around, you'll only be able to order the sauce in the McDonald's app when you buy Chicken McNuggets or purchase a five-sauce a-la-carte pack. Collectors will be happy to know that Mickey D's hears you and is releasing special packs that spell out the word Szechuan. Good luck getting them all! [USA Today]
