The Tribeca Film Festival is bringing Bronx-born superstar Jennifer Lopez back to her native city with its opening night film: the Netflix documentary Halftime, about the second half of the artist’s career.
Halftime follows the singer's career over the decades with a special focus on her 2020 Super Bowl Halftime which received worldwide acclaim.
The film will debut on Wednesday, June 8 at the United Palace in Washington Heights, Manhattan, before being made widely available to Netflix viewers on Tuesday, June 14.
“It’s just the beginning,” Lopez shared on Twitter while announcing the film’s debut.
"Halftime offers an intimate peek behind the curtain revealing the grit and determination that makes Jennifer Lopez the icon she is, from her performances onscreen and on stages around the world, to her Super Bowl Halftime show, to the recent Presidential inauguration," said the Tribeca Film Festival in a news release.
