A very pregnant Rihanna did not show up to Monday's Met Gala, but her presence was felt. Attendees were able to see a statue of RiRi.
The Met and Vogue had Rihanna's recent photoshoot for the magazine transformed into a statue paying homage to the Greek goddess of peace.
A caption to the video playing at the museum said, "The statue of “Eirene (The Personification of Peace)” is usually the highest-profile marble goddess @themetmuseum Greco-Roman galleries. But now we’ve got @badgalriri, straight off this month’s Vogue cover."
Rihanna saw the statue from afar and tweeted, "shut down the met in marble! what’s more gilded than that? Lol! Thank you @metmuseum and @voguemagazine for this historic tribute! y’all bad for this one!" [Billboard]
