LIZZO wound up having the last laugh on comedian Aries Spears. Over the weekend, Spears fat-shamed Lizzo on a podcast.
Lizzo picked her spot to comment as she won a VMA Sunday night. Although Lizzo didn't mention Spears by name, she said, "Now, to the b***hes that got something to say about me in the press..." As the audience cheered, she continued, "I’m not gonna say nothing."
Lizzo held up her VMA trophy and added, They be like, ‘Lizzo, why don’t you clap back?’ ‘Cause b***h I’m winning, ho. Big b***hes winning, ho! Best revenge is your paper, b**ch!"
She also encouraged people to vote in the upcoming midterm elections. Lizzo said, "I don’t know what ‘music video for good’ means, but I do know what your vote means, and that’s a f***ing lot. Your vote means everything to me, it means everything to making a change in this country. So remember when you’re voting for your favorite artists, vote to change some of these laws that are oppressing us." [Hollywood Reporter]
