Several tattoo artists have warned against these tattoo trends, telling 'Best Life' you could regret these permanent choices of ink.
- While a lion tattoo can be beautiful, one tattoo artist said to skip the animal for your choice of ink because it's been done so many times. She mentioned that she tattooed 136 lions in 2021 alone.
- Avoid copyrighted images as tattoos, because they are protected by copyright law. Artist Kat. Von D. was sued for tattooing a copyrighted image of jazz legend Miles Davis on a friend.
- Runes aren't the best tattoo idea, either, especially since the symbols carry so many meanings, which could be offensive. Some rune symbols have even been adopted by white supremacists.
- Avoid tattoos of memes because you might regret having that Pizza Rat tat one day.
- Tattoo artists recommend thinking twice about pocket watch or clock tattoos set to romantic events, like when you met your partner, cause that relationship could end. A tattoo of a significant other's name is a bad idea for the same reason.
