'The Hunger Games' director Francis Lawrence has signed on to direct a biopic based on California's legendary ska-punk band Sublime. Lawrence cut his teeth in his early days directing music videos for bands like Aerosmith, Green Day, P.O.D. Garbage and more.
'Ozark' writer Chris Mundy will handle the biopic's script with members of Sublime and the estate of late singer Bradley Nowell acting as executive producers.
The surviving members of Sublime wrote online "We know Bradley’s talent and spirit will be part of this incredible journey."
A release date hasn't been given at this time. [LoudWire]
