The city an Redlands is seeing an "uptick" of home burglaries. According to the Redlands public information officer, thieves are gaining access to homes by forcing through sliding glass doors and then, ransacking homes.
More than a dozen homes have been burglarized since the beginning of September, with the majority taking place in the southeastern side of town.
The city is offering a "While You Are Away" program for residents who are planning vacations or need to leave home for an extended time.
