With the success of SOS, SZA keeps adding to her place in R&B history. This week, the TDE singer's long-awaited follow-up to 2017's Ctrl, her sophomore album, SOS, has reclaimed the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200. This is the fourth week in a row that it has been at the top of the chart.
Since Janet Jackson's 1993 JANET LP spent its first four weeks at No. 1, SOS is the first R&B album by a woman to do the same, placing SZA in elite company.
“I don’t have sh_t to say but thank you to God, my ancestors, my family, my team, and ALL OF YOU THAT RIDE FOR ME! ESPECIALLY CAMP!!” she wrote about the success she has found since the release of SOS. “Y’all my family too [white heart emoji] we have so much more to come.”
