Imagine having enough money to buy tickets to the Super Bowl and still being able to place bets while at the game?! Well, fans at the Super Bowl took advantage of the fact that it was the first big game held in a state that allows sports betting. Around 100,000 people logged into sports betting apps while inside State Farm Stadium, according to mobile betting geolocators.
What were they betting on? About 54% of the money on the line wagered that Kansas City would defeat Philly.
Analysts projected that $16 billion had already been placed on Super Bowl bets before kickoff.
