There's drama surrounding the $2 billion Powerball winner in California. Jose Rivera claims the winning ticket was stolen from him, and he's suing to get his money.
Rivera says he purchased the ticket the day before the November 7th drawing. A man named "Reggie" allegedly stole the ticket from him.
According to court papers, Rivera approached "Reggie" after the drawing to get the ticket back. "Reggie" said the ticket didn't match all six numbers, but would split any prize 50/50. Rivera said he refused to be blackmailed and reported the incident to California Lottery officials and local authorities.
