McDonald's is getting ready to open a spinoff restaurant chain called 'CosMc's'.
CEO Chris Kempczinski described it as "a small-format concept with all the DNA of McDonald's but its own unique personality". The restaurant's name comes from the mostly-forgotten McDonaldland character CosMc, a space alien who first appeared in commercials in the 1980's.
