This project will cost approximately in the $800,000 range. It will be federal money paid for in part by a grant from the California Department of Housing and Community Development. The homes will be built by Habitat for Humanity in partnership with the city of Riverside. Its Riverside Mayor Rusty Bailey hope that this puts the city in the right direction on keeping the homeless out of the street. Strict policies will be in place though for those that will be living in the houses. If they don't follow the rules even just one time, they will immediately be asked to leave on the spot!
